I work as a freelance documentary photographer, traveling across the country for assignments.
I have two goals every time I go out to shoot:
1) To capture and tell an amazing story in images
2) To make people feel like they were there or a part of the photo story I am telling.
I grew up in South Carolina spending much of my time exploring in the woods, before moving to Winchester, Virginia during my high school years. I also spent time in the US Army after high school before going to college back in South Carolina.
I recently moved back to the Shenandoah National Park area in Virginia from Texas.
I have won several awards including 1st place in the "Masters Photography Contest", and have been published on National Geographic's website.
I'm also a staff writer for Fstoppers Photography Blog.
